Artists
This site was created by and
is run by an artist. It is intended to be artist friendly.
While there are a growing number of
online music sites, milomusic is one of the few created by an
artist for artists and their audiences.
The site serves a number of functions.
- It is a promotional site:
free Real Audio and mp3 files of complete songs
(we do not use "clips") are provided
to allow visitors to sample the artists work. The artist
page then may be linked directly to the artist page (if
you have one and you desire the link) so that you, the
artist, can control the interaction with the consumer
from there if you choose. As a multi-artist site, the
site draws higher traffic than individual sites can, and
results in greater exposure for the individual artists.
Since its inception in 1999, over 80,000 visitors have
come to milomusic.com.
- It is an interactive
site: Artist pages have feedback forms, allowing
visitors to provide feedback on the posted material.
Comments are added to the page to assist future visitors
in selecting materials.
- It can be a distribution
and publishing site: We are near to nailing down
the technical side of secure online distribution. For
now, unsecured distribution is possible by means of mp3
format files- and this is certainly ideal for unknown
artists and for promotional distribution. Posting your
material on this site does not imply a publishing
relationship between you and milomusic beyond the
promotional nature online distribution authorized in the
basic release form.
- It is an online store for
traditional music products such as cassettes and CD's
We do accept unsolicited submissions,
but there is no promise that we will include you on our site, and
materials sent for consideration will not be returned.

Currently, the format is contemporary
acoustic folk and pop and blues. In the future, as the site
expands, we will consider adding music in other formats.
